7/21: Lewis:"at 2P.M. we struck a northern branch of Marias river" (see previous page, top right). It was Cut Bank Creek; their camp was 1+/- mi southwest of Cut Bank MT. The 2 bottom images are the creek in that vicinity. The top images show Cut Bank Creek flowing under the trestle west of town. From I-15, in Shelby, take US HWY 2 west to Cut Bank, it roughly follows Lewis' trial here.
