Great Falls
								This is the general area of the lower portage staging area . Top left, and above, a relatively flat area at Belt Creek where goods were stacked. The road follows a gradual slope up to the plains, top right. The wheeled canoes could have been towed up to the top. Left, looking back down at the Belt Creek ravine. To find Belt Creek, drive east on 10th Ave. S (US HWYs 87 & 89) and left on Highwood Road to Salem Road.
