							The Moniteau Bluffs stand above the Missouri River much as the expedition found them. They discovered Indian artwork on rock faces near the bluff. Clark: " Several Courious Paintings and Carveings in the projecting rock of Limestone inlade with white red & blue flint...." A railroad tunnek construction blasted away the artwork years laters.
