Lin's Waikiki Beach Confluence Project is continued from the previous
page. There are many more planks in the boardwalk than shown on these
pages. These are the most significant ones. Note that Cape Disappointment
is the last one at 4,132 miles from Fort Wood, on the Mississippi
River. The two Clark journal quotes at the top of these pages divide
the boardwalk into two geographic segments. The rock formation, above,
at the campground, is an old sea stack. It's far inland now, evidence
of the shore buildup over the years. |
