Skamokawa Washington
Jim Crow Point, the Expedition's November 7, 1805 camp, is the far peak in the bottom left and top right photos. It's about 5 1/2 miles down the Columbia from Vista Park. The Star Kinn Bergen (Norway?) approaches from the north side channel, top, and passes the park, above. Wind and water molded these interesting tree knots. There are plenty of places along the beach to see driftwood; however, these looked like permanent trees - dead but rooted into the ground.
