From Rooster Rock State Park I drove west on I-84 to Troutdale and took the exit (signed) to Sandy River Delta Park and Lewis and Clark State Park. At Delta Park a trail leads to the confluence of Lewis & Clark's "Quicksand River," now Sandy, with the Columbia, top right. One of Maya Lin's (of DC Vietnam Memorial fame) Confluence projects is here, right. The trail looks easy to follow on the map; however, many other trails cross its path with no signs.
