Lewis & Clark Trail
Columbia River Gorge Oregon

Rooster Rock State Park is off exit 25 on I-84 . The Corps bivouacked near the rock on November 2, 1805. The interpretive signs recount the journey through this section of the Columbia River Gorge. Prior to reaching Rooster Rock, the Corps passed Seal Rock, in the middle of the river, above right. The Captains named it Phoca Rock for the numerous seals congregated there.
