		From Home Valley I drove about seven miles, on HWY 14, to Stevenson. The interpretive center is located about a mile west of Stevenson. The signs outside the center explain native culture and the dramatic changes in vegetation and weather as the Corps enters the Columbia River Gorge. This section of the map traces the voyage from Oct. 29 to Nov. 1, 1805.
