Valley Park is located about 20 miles west of Bingen, WA on HWY 14.
The interpretive signs explain the significance of the area to the
Expedition. Clark wrote: "the Stumps of pine trees are in many
places, are at Some distance in the river." The Corps stopped
at numerous native villages as they floated down the Columbia including
a big one near Bingen. |
