Celilo
State Park lies between I-84 and the Columbia River, about 2 miles
west of Deschutes River State Recreation Area, and nine miles west
of Biggs. The river scenes before you cover Celilo Falls, a major
obstacle to the Lewis and Clark Expedition's rapid descent of the
Columbia River. Top left and above; Wishram WA, north across the Columbia.
The Corps Camped just down river on the outbound journey, while portaging
around Celilo Falls (Oct. 22-23-1805). They stopped April 21, 1806
