returned, north, to WA HWY 124 from the LCT Touchet River crossing
and headed west. At Fishook Road I turned north and drove 4 miles
to Fishook Park. After running many dangerous rapids on October 15,
the Corps bivouacked on the north shore of the Snake River, above
and left. That evening Clark wrote: "passed...Seven rapids to
day. Several of the rapids verry bad and dificuelt to pass.... passed
thro: narrows for 3 miles where the Clifts of rocks juted to the river...." |
