| This second replica of Camp Wood stands near the junction of HWY 3 and 14E in Wood River IL. I think it is privately funded and is only open on special occasions. Except for the power lines and railroad tracks, it has a realistic setting beside a narrow lake which may have been the old Wood River bed. I learned about this replica from a ranger at Cahokia Mounds State Historical Site. It's not mentioned in any guides for the area. |
