Lewis & Clark

The Snake River flows northwest past Wawawai County Park. Interpretive signs along the trail, winding across the hill, on the north side of the park. The sign explains the geological structure of the ridge across the river, above. The Corps had their eyes on rocks, sandbars and rapids, when they passed, leaving little time to contemplate the geology of these hills. They did take notice of the lack of trees; meaning no firewood.
