| This natural formation, at the junction of US Highways 12 and 95 in Spalding, is one more reminder of the ancient and enduring legacy of the Nez Perce in this area. The interpretive sign's photo, above, shows the arch in contrast with the background. Mine blend with it a bit. None of the expedition members mention it in their journals, so probably didn't see it - too busy keeping their canoes afloat. |
