Lewis & Clark Trail

Riverfront Park is on the left side of US HWY 12, after crossing the bridge over the Clearwater River. A kiosk is loaded with information about the Nez Perce and the Lewis and Clark Expedition. We learn about the flora and fauna, essential to the locals, and studied by Lewis. He made lengthy entries in his journal while camped here. Mosaics of Idaho's major wildflowers decorate the outside walls, top center.
