Lewis & Clark Trail

The Corps passed from the west in 1806. The LCT trailhead is on the west side of Smoking Place. The interpretive sign is located, here, on Forest Road 500. We hiked a loop from the Sinque Hole trailhead, following the LCT west past Indian Grave to Smoking Place, then down to our shuttled vehicle, here at the trailhead. The Corps camped at Bears Oil Camp.
