Lewis & Clark Trail
								North Fork Idaho
								After examining Tower Creek, I returned to US HWY 93 and drove a few miles north to the Wagonhammer Springs Trailhead, above. Here, I intersected the trail the Corps used to skirt the treacherous canyon along the Salmon River. They started at Tower Creek, trekking northwest, past here, to connect with the North Fork Salmon. The trail winds across ridge tops east of the river. It's about six miles long.
