As
the Corps ascended Tower Creek they came upon some uncommon rock formations
- Uncommon enough for Captain Clark to record the sight in his journal.
They found some old Indian lodges and settled in for the night. These
rocks are one of the rare formations that we can view in much the
same condition as the Corps saw them. The next morning, September
!, 1805, the Corps turned northwest, away from Tower Creek, toward
the North Fork of the Salmon River. |
