flowers seen along the trail to the top. The white flowers, above,
were part of the cluster on the north side of the hill seen on the
first page of this section - just a closer look. The Corps members
found grapes, plums, and currents growing in the area. Maybe the decades
of farming destroyed these plants and replanting hasn't restored them.
One thing historians know - this is one place Lewis and Clark, plus
11 other Corps members, walked the land and hill. |
