Lewis & Clark Trail
Salmon Idaho
The full name of the center is The Sacajawea Interpretive, Cultural, and Educational Center. It was opened in the summer of 2003. It's located on ID HWY 28, east of downtown Salmon. The highway follows the Lewis & Clark Trail from Tendoy to just east of Salmon, where the trail veers east to connect with the Salmon River, northeast of the town.
A beautiful statue of Sacajawea stands in front of the center with another of Seaman close by. The plaque recounts her life and important role with the Corps of Discovery.
