The
Agency Creek Campground, east of Tendoy, has interpretive signs concerning
the Lewis's descent from Lehmi Pass into the valley. The Corps didn't
venture this far west on Agency Creek outbound in 1805 nor inbound
in 1806. They crossed it farther east, just below the pass. The south
leg of the Lewis and Clark Backcountry Byway follows Agency Creek
east up to the point of the LCT crossing. The "First Idaho Camp"
site is in a remote area northwest of the road. Refer to the map on
