Continue north on State HWY 45 from Little Bean Marsh to get to Lewis and Clark Lake. The view of the lake, left, reminds one of the river itself. Notice how far off the old (1804) river channel is from the lake (see map above). Sometime in the past the Missouri River traveled a tremendous bend here.
