We finally found some dry margins along Huntington
Creek, about nine miles north of Sadler Ranch. It was bivouac #19
for us, May 24, 2006. A large bird soars above Huntington Creek
as it flows north at our campsite, top right. The west face of the
Ruby Mountains appears in the background. Underwater plants form
colorful streamers, above. The Donner-Reed Party set down in this
general area on September 23, 1846. James Reed had good evidence
of "Sinking Creek" here.
