Twin Bridges, named for two bridges crossing Huntington Creek and South Fork Humboldt River here, is on County HWY 715A. It's about 3 miles south of South Fork Reservoir. North of the bridges, Huntington Creek, top two images, joins South Fork Humboldt River, bottom two images. Together, they flow north to Humboldt River and the long sought after California Trail. The Donner-Reed Party forded these streams September 24, 1846. By this time, tensions and fatigue spread the party.
