Lewis Return Trail
						July, 1806, the Lewis squad headed away from the Blackfoot and followed the Road to the Buffalo northeast. This view of the river, left, may have been their last. The Alice Creek Road, above, 10 mi. east of Lincoln, goes north to meet the trail along Alice Creek. Check road conditions at the ranger station, 1.5mi east of Lincoln.
