The
center, a few miles north of Floyd's monument, is just off I-29. It's
a non-profit institution run by Missouri River Historical Development,
Inc. No photography allowed so I couldn't record some of the uotstanding
displays including animatronic Lewis & Clark at Floyd's grave.
A statue, left, of the two leaders and Lewis' dog, Seaman, stands
at the entrance of the center. Nearby, a garden displays many of the
plants the Corps found in the area. Top, Prairie Blazing Stars. Left,
Butterfly Milkweed. Signs help to identify each plant. |
