A ranger demonstrates the three steps to make a ball and powder charge for muskets - with Candy! First; add the candy ball, wrap with paper, then add the sugar charge. Kids get a hands on experience by making one and - no not shooting it from a toy gun - but getting to eat it. Lewis created an ingenious way to carry powder and shot. He had lead canisters made and filled with gun powder. When the powder was consumed, the empty canisters were melted into lead balls for the muskets.
