dramatic, full scale diorama greets visitors to the Lewis and Clark
National Historic Trail Interpretive Center. The display stretches
from the main floor, right, to the lower 2nd floor, above. A two story
high window provides the background. It looks out onto the real Missouri
River. The Interpretive Center covers the entire journey of the Corps
of Discovery. It has many interactive displays and replicas. You hike
the trail room to room from Ft Dubois, through Ft Mandan, to Ft Clatsop,
and return. I've driven from California to Great Falls the last two
years and have spent many hours roaming the rooms. |
