Our
corps, easily paddling and floating down river, passed these spires
and cliffs on its third day. We were gazing at the last of the White
Cliffs. The original Corps, pulling and stumbling up river, over a
year from the time it started its journey, gazed in wonder at the
beginning . I think, though not sure, the photo above is Dark Butte.
If it is, it was formed by the same geologic forces that created Steamboat
Rock, mentioned two pages back. I named the formation, right, Rhine
Castle - unofficially of course. |
