In
Loma, a gravel road to the right leads past an old grain elevator
to the Missouri River. It ends at a closed ranch gate. This section
of the river is just down stream from the confluence with the Marias.
The confluence is on private ranch land so can only be photographed
from the Missouri or Marias from a boat. Top left, The Missouri flows
east. The other three photos look toward the confluence which is around
the bend in the photo above. The Corps would have passed this spot
late in the day on June 2nd and camped opposite the confluence. |
