This
beautiful Sacagawea and Jean Baptiste statue stands on the plaza between
the capitol and cultural heritage center. I saw a lot of statues of
her on this trip; this is by far the best. One of several nearby intrepretative
signs explains her role with the Corps and other details of her life.
I visited this cultural center in search of Mandan-Hidatsa items seen
by Lewis & Clark. |
