| It's
easy to get to Longview from Ridgefield. Return to I-5, head north,
and take exit 36 to WA HWY 432. If you miss that one, exit 39 at Kelso
will lead west on WA HWY 4 to Longview. The park runs for several
blocks in the middle of town. The sculpture occupies a small area
on the west side of the park. This margin of the lake, top left, is
near the sculpture. A copy of this statue greets visitors at the Fort
Clatsop Visitor Center. The Corps stayed below Longview, on the opposite
side of the Columbia March, 26, 1806. |
