On April 11, 1806, William Clark described the blooming landscape that included Serviceberry near Bonneville Dam on the Columbia River: 'vegetation is rapidly progressing. Sarvis berry, Sackacommis [kinnikinnick] and the large leafed ash [big-leaf maple] in blume.'" - End of panel.
These are examples of native plants and informative panels along the Land Bridge and Interpretive Trail Confluence Project at Fort Vancouver. Signs on I-5 and WA HWY 14, in Vanvouver, direct visitors to the fort and Confluence Project.
