Many
of the native flora bordering the Timeline Path have interpretive
signs, top left, pointing out how humans used each species. Lewis
and Clark quotes are included where pertinent. Left, a close-up look
at one of the five Timeline panels. Others include: Chinook Traveling
Lodge, circa 1800; Officers Row, circa 1860; a WWI Spruce Production
Plant, circa 1917; WWII Ship Launch Down the Ways, circa 1943. The
panel shown is from circa 1853. A Chinook traveling lodge was the
only item possibly seen by the Corps in 1805-6. |
