Pasco Washington

The Sacajawea State Park Interpretive Center holds many collections of local native artifacts besides those concerning the Corps of Discovery. The red circle, above, highlights Clark's campsite symbol mentioned in the text at middle right. Clark honored Lewis by naming the river they traveled down to the Columbia, "Lewis's River." It's the Snake River now. A large copy of Clark's map hangs in the interpretive center. Clark's Columbia River "Great Shoot or Rapids" map, right, is part of a walkway interpretive sign.
