The
images of cow parsnip and the sign, above, are located in the north,
campground, side of Lewis and Clark Trail State Park. The signs form
a kiosk on the south, picnic ground, side. The Indians who introduced
Lewis to cow parsnip were from the "Wollahwollah nation,"
Walla Walla in current spelling. Lewis carried a plant press and special
storage boxes. Facsimiles of these items are displayed in many Lewis
and Clark visitor centers. |
