Patah Washington
These signs are part of an interpretive kiosk at the Alpowa State Recreation Area Rest Stop on US HWY 12, at Alpowa Summit, a few miles east of Patah. The Corps passed through here May 4, 1806, returning to the Snake River east of Chief Timothy State Park. They visited the Indian village at Alpowa Creek where they had breakfasted on October 11, 1805, on the outbound journey.
