Top left, the "small rise" where the Nez Perce village
stood. The top right sign is in town. The other two signs are at
the place where Clark came upon the Nez Perce youths collecting
camas bulbs. The grassland, above, is more typical of the field
where camas flowers grow. The actual field is planted in hay and
mowed often. The blue spot in the center of the image may be a late
camas flower - they bloom in May. Imagine the difficulty finding
and digging up camas bulbs here!
