| The
Lewis and Clark Trailhead, on the west side of Road 500 at Small Prairie
Camp, heads west . The trail is well signed and defined from here
to Lolo Campground at Lolo Creek (Lewis and Clark's Collins Creek).
This segment of the trail is a good place to experience the terrain
crossed by the Corps. From here to Clark Tree is the longest hike.
Highway 500 and other roads intersect the trail at points that can
be realistically traversed, if you can shuttle a vehicle. These roads
will be identified in the next few pages. |
