500 west, from Full Stomach Camp, passes two return trip (1806) campsites.
Actually they were traveling west again, rebuffed, temporarily, by
deep snow. They made it east as far as both parties had camped in
September, 1805, on Hungry Creek. Two near tragedies occurred on the
Sept. 18th before reaching this campsite. Pvt. John Potts severed
