Lewis & Clark Trail
Lolo Motorway Idaho
Since the Corps bivouacked here in late June, 1806, they may have only seen flowers at a lower elevation. The winter had been colder and snow deeper than now. Lewis wrote grass was not growing yet, so flowers were unlikely - he certainly would have noticed. Moving east to west on the motorway, you will find a mix of outbound ('05) and inbound ('06) sites.
