Trail
Powell Ranger Station Idaho
The Captains were constantly aware of flora and fauna on this journey. These images, along this Lochsa River trail, are examples of items that might have piqued their interest - mushrooms, ferns, and part of a hornets' nest. The Corps did not blaze this trail, it led to an old salmon fishing site used by Native Americans for hundreds of years.
