photos show the display of artifacts and replicas at the tent visitor
center in 2007. Since then Bill and Ramona Holt have graciously leased
a building and their collection to Montana State Parks (see the first
four pages of this section). Many other organizations have helped
to establish the new Holt Visitor Center and Museum. The Travelers'
Rest Preservation & Heritage Association and the Travelers' Rest
Chapter of the Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation played key
roles in making this park a viable National Historical Landmark. Travelers'
Rest State Park's distinction as one of the rare authentic LCT sites
is well worth a visit. |
