In
2007, the only sign here told of the struggles of Alexander Ross's
return from the Pacific Coast (see previous page). I returned in 2013
to find new interpretive signs detailing the Corps's meeting with
the Salish living in this valley. The Captains named the water course
"East Fork Clark's River." The country store sign is on
the left side of the photo, bottom left. |
