Lewis & Clark Trail - Grant MT
	On August 10th 1805, Lewis, Drouillard, McNeal, and Shields followed Horse Prairie Creek into Shoshone Cove, "... one of the handsomest coves I ever saw...," according to Lewis. They saw the first Indian since Ft Mandan near here. He was mounted and fled west after Lewis came within 100 feet of him. Horseshoe Prairie Creek flowing from the west, top right; flowing east toward Clark Canyon Reservoir, above and right.
