DeSoto NWR Iowa
								On the previous page, I said the refuge is in Nebraska. Headquarters and Visitor Center are outside the oxbow lake, in Iowa. The top photos show part of the lake. Left, a fisherman allowed me to photograph a walleye he caught. The Corps camped in the vicinity August 3rd, after the "First Council" across the river. Corps fishermen caught fish to feed the troops, at every opportunity.
