The Donner-Reed Party gets as much space in the center as Bidwell-Bartleson. There are four separate displays for each. Visitors can easily understand the complete story from these displays. For example, the maps and panels on this and the previous page help us understand why the Bidwell-Bartleson Party succeeded while the Donner-Reed Party met disaster. The portrait is James F.
