top left, on the north side of an abandoned ranch. The lone remaining
building stands against a Ruby Mountain backdrop, above. See the
previous page for more about this ranch. Old fence posts reminded
me of a more complex Stonehenge, standing silent on the plain, left.
The skull of a complete cow skeleton lies near an old fence line.
It, as much as the skeletal fence line and hollow shell of a building,
proclaim that life once thrived here.
Emigrants had seen death along the trail; but looked ahead.
