Lewis & Clark Trail
An early morning examination of the river bank revealed tracks from the local fauna. Clark had noted the prolific wildlife seen the past few days: "... Deer on the banks, Skipping in every derection, the party Killed nine Bucks on the river & Bank to day..." I see porcupine tracks here- I wonder if the Corps tried Porcupine steaks? I know they consumed dogs later into the trip.
