Following
Old US HWY 91, now called the Missouri River Recreation Road, I camped
at Mountain Palace Fishing Access, on the Missouri, near Hardy. Lewis
and Clark had separate camps in this general area on June 16, 1805.
This canyon is the geographic border between the Rocky Mountains and
the Great Plains. Down the Missouri; left, morning, and evening, top
